✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Substitute Teacher at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas✨

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay: $20.00 per hour

What you will do: The Substitute Teacher is responsible for filling in for teaching staff that is off duty, while providing instructional services to students. The Substitute Teacher maintains a dependable working relationship with teaching staff to ensure that lesson plans and curriculum are prepared and administered effectively. This position provides support to Education staff as needed, including delivering lessons plans, grading student assignments, and tracking student attendance.

To be considered you should: Possess an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree Have related experience working with at-risk youth Be at least 21 years of age Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry Must be able to meet the requirements of an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver’s License

Schedule: On-Call; this position is part-time on-call ONLY, and may not work above 29 hours per week
