Under close supervision, prepares hot and nutritious meals for homebound individuals and senior citizens.

Responsible for maintaining high quality standards of kitchen operation, including assisting with all food preparation.\ Prepares food for daily meals, to include activities such as chopping vegetables and meats, cooking food, etc.\ Assists other cooking staff with meal preparation.\ Assists with set-up, service and clean-up of food production.\ Ensures proper sanitation and storage of kitchen equipment.\ Assists with daily preparation and boxing of meals for delivery to homebound individuals.\ Cleans and puts away kitchen equipment, dishware and utensils.\ Cleans, maintains and orders food service equipment.\ Plans, coordinates and organizes menus.\ Organizes and updates Material Data Sheets.\ Organizes, tracks and prepares written materials related to food service.\ Ensures compliance with state, local and regulatory agencies related to food service to include Area Agency on Aging requirements.\ Performs other duties as assigned or required.
