Who will you be working with?

Our best-in-class Quality Engineering team combines knowledge of customers’ needs processes with deep domain expertise and tenured experience to deliver unparalleled quality services to our internal and external customers. Here you’ll interact daily with the internal and external customer during the problem resolution process and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Quality Engineering Team of Wabtec Bus Solutions, you will be responsible for working with Operations, Engineering, and customers to ensure the products ship at the quality expected. Be part of the team on the continuation of ISO 9000-2015 standards. You will play a key role bringing industry-leading products to market. A person who is a self-starter and comfortable juggling multiple projects concurrently with minimal oversight. Must have a passion to exceed our expectations when it comes to overseeing the development of Quality process, selecting, and implementing new technology to the Quality segment of the business, and ensuring that designed products meet manufacturing, quality and system requirements.

The ideal candidate will plan, and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following activities.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, master’s degree preferred.

• 5+ years’ experience in using ANOVA & DOEQuality systems,

• Understanding of DMAIC & 5 why & 8D methods of problem solving.

• Knowledge and expertise in ISO compliance, Kaizens & VSM.

What will your typical day look like?

• Working with engineering, manufacturing and sourcing employees daily to ensure quality products are produced.

• Working with company ERP system.

• Supporting the company in ISO certification 9000-2015.

• Ability to work with all levels of the company.

What about the physical demands of the job?

• Work in moderate weather conditions – humidity and heat.

• Work around moving parts.

• Wear Steel Toed Shoes and Safety Glasses with side shields.

• Ability to lift of up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. infrequently.

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with employees, customers, and managers of the company.

• Ability to read and review blueprints, BOMs and schematics.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
