M&T Bank Property Management Support Supervisor in Buffalo, New York

Overview:

Provides administrative support to the Department by overseeing the project authorization process, processing of invoices, administration of maintenance and repair calls, and administration of contracts.

The position is responsible for managing and motivating a team of Business Analysts and Property Management Assistants who provide support to Property Management personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning, leadership, problem resolution, analysis and reporting for Property Management Call Center unit.

  • Ensure the unit managed is adequately staffed and personnel are trained.

  • Provide input to tactical planning and short-term initiatives. Responsible for unit contingency planning and operational loss reporting

  • Make recommendations concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary

  • recommendations and terminations.

  • Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.

  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 years’ operations and/or supervisory experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 years’ operations and/or supervisory experience

Familiar with Construction/Property Management practices and terminology

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience interacting effectively with all levels of personnel

Strong analytical skills

Creative problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite: Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Education and Experience Preferred:

Minimum of 3 years’ operations and/or supervisory experience

Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $51,504.81 - $85,841.35 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
