One Family.Purpose Statement The Corporate Controller will optimize financial performance, integrity, and digital capabilities across Rich's organization. This position will deliver rigorous financial oversight, transparency, and leverage of advanced technologies to drive best in class financial reporting, decision-support, and operational excellence.This role will be based at our World Headquarters in Buffalo, NY.Key Accountabilities and Outcomes 1) Lead global delivery model of Record-to-Report process.- Create best practices to ensure financial reporting is complete, consistent, and comparable.- Lead and mentor the accounting team, and foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability.- Standardize global process to create consistent and simplified financial reporting practices.2) Leverage digital tools to improve cycle time and cost structure of Record-to-Report process.- Develop expert understanding of Global financial reporting footprint and effectively apply knowledge throughout accounting function.- Provide thought leadership in areas of maturity of information, robotic process automation (RPA), and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI).- Improve efficiency and accuracy of recording journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidations.- Leverage digital tools that allow for record-to-report processes to scale effectively with growing and transforming business models.- Drive continuous improvement of processes, functionality, and overall quality of financial reporting.3) Prepare and communicate internal and external financial reporting.- Provide internal stakeholders with accurate and timely reporting: consolidated financial statements, segment reporting, executive management reporting.- Lead consolidation of financial statements across multi-national subsidiaries, joint-ventures, and associated entities.- Issue annual financial statements with achievement of unqualified opinion from external auditors.- Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, regulators, and other stakeholders on accounting and financial matters.- Manage and safeguard flow of financial information to internal and external users.4) Provide oversight and quality control of financial reporting work across enterprise.- Develop and maintain relationships with business units, functions, subsidiaries, and other parties to ensure internal controls are adequate. Oversee the proper recording of transactions and completion of financial reporting and analysis.- Provide CFO and finance leadership with an ongoing assessment of major accounting or financial risks and opportunities that impact the achievement of the annual financial results.- Establish and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting and monitor and evaluate their performance and effectiveness.5) Maintain governance over global accounting policies and lead efforts in application of technical accounting guidance.- Posses deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, tax laws, and regulatory compliance. This entails familiarity with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).- Stay current on emerging accounting issues and pronouncements and advise management of impact to Rich's.- Provide effective governance and project management of policies, including broad stakeholder involvement.- Create assessment of processes to allocate ownership and standardization for policies throughout the organization.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. MBA degree preferred.- CPA license.- Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting roles.- Strong knowledge and expertise in accounting principles, standards, regulations, and best practices.- Experience working in both multi-national organization and public accounting. Understanding of global markets and subsidiaries.- Familiarity with global compliance requirements as related to finance operations.- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or equivalent large enterprise resource planning software.- Experience with delivering both external financial reporting and internal management reporting.- Exceptional communication and people skills, with ability to converse with leadership and all levels across the organization.- Previous experience managing a team, working with other functional groups, and third parties.- Demonstrated ability to adapt and adopt modern technologies and ways of working.- Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.- Minimal travel required for position.#LI-BE2#CORP123COMPENSATIONIn accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.
