The Engineering Manager will be accountable for all process engineering activities in support of manufacturing operations. Acts as voice of site's Process Engineering Group and manages the process engineering discipline. This role will focus on managerial concerns of site improvement project such as cost, completion date, and resource allocation. They will provide resolution of issues and monitor integration of work between site departments. The Engineering Manager will review technical concepts of major projects, detail equipment specifications, and collaborate with Capital Projects Team. They will participate in solving technical problems with the team to improve plant performance metrics and yields.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating and managing the Process Engineering Team, focusing resources accordingly .

  • Manage and implement projects to improve OEE, line efficiency and product costs.

  • Identifying and assessing the value and capability of new or additional technologies through innovation.

  • Manage local capital expenditure ensuring projects scopes are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Manage Site Cost saving and Continuous Improvement initiatives and tracking. Conduct site cost saving ideation sessions and implementing cost saving projects.

  • Fully support and comply with company HSE and Quality Policies.

  • Defining, automating and simplifying processes; identifying key levers and process parameters.

  • Identifying investigating, and facilitating solutions to process, engineering and technical problems.

  • Ensuring the retention and adherence to accredited standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).

  • Ensuring that maintenance and production standards are observed and applied.

  • Developing technical capability within the team.

  • Must comply with all Federal, State, Local and Company rules and regulations on Health, Safety and Environmental issues.

  • Responsible for maintaining Alkegen's highest level of safety standards on site including identifying and correcting unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.

  • Will embody Alkegen's core safety principles including but not limited to The Seven Safety Absolutes, use of PPE, and Safe Standards of Work at all times.

  • Will champion safety in the workplace each day.

    Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline field, with a minimum of five years industrial experience.

  • Formal TPM, Six Sigma, WCM, TPS or Lean training related to world class maintenance processes is a necessity with at least 5 years of experience of a successful implementation and management of an engineering function.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from production and maintenance employees.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Innovation - Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work; develops innovative approaches and ideas

  • Drive – Must exhibit drive to execute objectives and projects effectively. Should be an individual capable of career development and self motivated to find and fix problems and make improvements.

Compensation:

  • $100,000/annual - $130,000/annual

  • Compensation offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
