Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

As a Lab Technician, you will be tasked with navigating the plant environment to obtain liquid samples from silos using both FDA and plant standards. Your role will involve testing samples using lab equipment/instruments, performing tests such as PH, acidity, melting point, viscosity, solid/fat percentages, and ensuring samples are kept within a specific range. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting all procedures with dates and signatures, keeping the lab clean to prevent contamination, and ensuring supplies are always refilled. It is critical that you follow FDA standards and plant standards at all times, calibrate equipment daily, and handle phone calls from various parts of the plant. This role requires continuous multitasking to ensure products/samples are able to proceed and remain within specification.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position.

Work Environment

The role is ONSITE at our Elma facility. We are looking to fill positions on the 2nd shift (2pm -10:30pm) and 3rd shift (10pm - 6:30am). Note that flexibility is required based on production and staffing needs. This could potentially involve 6-day work weeks and occasional 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm or 6pm - 6am).
