Aerotek Machine Shop Supervisor in Buffalo, New York

Job Title: Machine Shop Supervisor

Job Description

Local manufacturing facility is looking for a machine shop supervisor to join their growing team!

This person will be responsible for overseeing, coaching, and developing a team of machinists and support personnel within a clean shop environment. Supervisors have the ability to create and influence training schedules and performance standards as well as work closely with on site engineering, quality, and sales departments.

Standard payroll, approval of payroll requests, and HR related responsibilities will also be needed. Safety, on time delivery, and continuous improvement are our priorities

Skill Requirements

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles

  • Previous experience with personnel scheduling, planning, and payroll

  • Prior experience with leading teams or supervising others

  • Prior experience with CNC or manual machining is preferred

  • Bachelor Degree preferred but not required

  • Engineering experience beneficial

Additional Information

Employees will be working in a clean, organized, well lit shop. Traditional schedule is a Monday through Friday, first shift starting at 7am. Medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as PTO, paid holidays, NYS sick leave, and additional bonuses included in employment package.
