One Family.Purpose StatementThe Regional Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of annual sales goals and objectives for all assigned accounts in alignment with the overall In-Store Bakery (ISB) sales strategy and in coordination with the TCCS CBU and DSD Divisional Leadership. You will, with limited supervision, provide sales, marketing, and merchandising direction, and outstanding customer service to our existing accounts within the greater NYC territory. You will be focused on maximizing the growth and profitability of the business while selling new products, product applications and programs with our existing customers within In-Store Bakery.You will be accountable for the Strategic Growth Plans for a rapidly growing and profitable business, and the ongoing growth and development of partnerships with new/existing customers across several segments. To deliver that, you will develop a clear understanding of both the CBU's and DSD's capabilities and capacities that are aligned with the overall business objectives, and match them to your customer's volume potential. You will be accountable for maximizing our sales and profits by driving additional synergies within our operations and distribution network with your customer base as well as integrating in 2026 other TCCS portfolio items.The role must be based in the NYC metro area within commuting distance of the Woodside location in Queens.Key Accountabilities and OutcomesNew Business DevelopmentDefine new customers and territories that can be served by the DSD business and expand existing relationships with major customersResearch sources for developing prospective customers and gather critical information to help determine their potential.Communicate and coordinate sales activities with plant operation, supply chain, R&D, QA, finance and logistics as required including ESO teams.Interface with all appropriate internal functions to work through the on-boarding process for new customers or new items for existing customers.AnalyticsProvide forecasting validation for our internal requirements and collaborative feedback to customers as required.Utilize CRM (SalesForce) and other Sales tracking tools for leads and sales progressProvide ongoing analysis regarding customer performance to prior year, to plan and to current forecastSales and Customer Relationship DevelopmentDevelop effective retail "pull-thru" marketing programs to support the needs of smaller, family-owned businesses.Communicate/coordinate with Regional Sales Managers and Broker Partners to provide service/support base to all assigned accounts in support of all business building opportunitiesProfitable execution and leadership of annual Business Plan development in conjunction with Corporate and Division objectives to include:Solid direction and leadership to Route Sales Representatives on objectives and profitability expectations.Attainment of the annual sales goals and objectives.Accurate and timely weekly sales reporting, focused on profitable growth with customers, brokers and marketplaceAchieve individual and market case/financial margin targets by executing division strategies and delivering well-refined market plans.Develop annual account plans for the local market's operations leader, setting sales goals using sales objectives, profit expectations, and placements of priority product categories.Achieve volume and margin plans by marketDevelop and implement a data driven selling approach utilizing Rich's best-in-class Data and InsightsPrepare and present proposals for improving distribution, space, sales, and service in retail storesKnowledge, Skills, and ExperienceBachelor's degree in business, sales management or related discipline strongly preferredFluency in both English and Spanish is requiredMinimum of 5-7 years progressive sales experience in the food and beverage industry. Bakery experience a plusA strong awareness and applicable understanding of supply chain and manufacturing operationA strong history of successful prospecting, lead generation and securing new businessMust demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and be results orientedBe able to work independently and within a team environment possessing excellent communication skillsExcellent organizational, time and project management skillsAbility to travel for in-person visits with customers, attend trade shows and for team meetings as required. Travel requirements will average 50% - 75% of the time, primarily within the NYC metro areaAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.
