Summary: The lab of Dr. Pawel Kalinski in the Department of Immunology is in search of a Research Technologist with expertise in laboratory techniques with specific experience performing laboratory benchwork. The candidate will perform a variety of routine and specialized laboratory tests and experimental procedures specific to the areas of cancer biology and tumor immunology. The applicant must be able to identify, design, and execute research experiments to meet the objectives of the laboratory's research aims. In addition, the ideal candidate will provide administrative/managerial oversight of the lab operations and clinical collaborations under the direction of the Principal Investigator or other senior personnel.

Salary range is $48,515 - $61,525 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
1. Master's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or
2. Bachelor's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate should have the following experience:

1) Expertise with murine cell or tissue cultures with a strong demonstration of sterile techniques
2) Scientific or medical background suggesting an ability to master cancer biology/tumor immunology assays such as ELIspot, ELISA, flow cytometry
3) Experience performing RT-qPCR assays and interpreting data
4) Ability to collect, process, analyze, and display data contributing to the preparation of scientific presentations, manuscripts, and grant proposals
5) Comfortable with presenting data to scientific audiences and communicating/interfacing with physicians/scientists
6) Ability to obtain training and follow detailed research plans, protocols, and SOPs
7) Past experience in positions required extensive and detailed note-taking skills
8) Flexibility to occasionally work outside of established working hours
