Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Administer appropriate REACH curriculum, aligned with the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards;

 Ensure the opportunity for all students to learn in a supportive, culturally responsive learning environment;

 Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused learning condition in the instructional environment;

 Develop and implement daily and long-range lesson plans using research-based strategies to meet the needs of all students;

 Align lesson planning, instruction, reflection, and assessment practices to the NYS learning standards;

 Analyze student data and progress with a balanced assessment system to provide effective and targeted instruction and

interventions to maximize student learning;

 Provide a classroom management plan ensuring safety at all times;

 Ensure assessment regulations and guidelines are followed at all times;

 Develops a culturally responsive classroom climate that promotes positive learning conditions;

 Collaborates effectively and professionally with administration, staff, parents/guardians, and the community;

 Develop, implement, and act as teacher of record of IEP' for students with disabilities;

 Adhere to federal, state, and local mandates in special education;

 Develop and implement behavioral intervention plans as identified by the needs of the student;

 Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

Our school days runs for 6:50AM - 2:30PM (one day a week until 4:30 for planning)

We have a very competitive salary scale that pays higher than most local districts. Our starting salary for a 1st year teacher with no prior experience is between $45,000 and $47,000 and it goes up from there aligned with years of prior experience.
