Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

The Opportunity

As part of the Internal Tax team you coordinate and prepare direct and indirect foreign tax returns, interpret international tax treaties, and build relationships with other groups and stakeholders. As a Senior Associate you analyze complex problems, mentor others, and maintain top standards. You build client relationships, develop a deeper understanding of the business context, and navigate increasingly complex situations to deliver quality work and grow your personal brand.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare direct and indirect foreign tax returns

  • Interpret international tax treaties

  • Build relationships with other groups and stakeholders

  • Analyze complex tax problems and provide solutions

  • Mentor and guide junior team members

  • Maintain top standards in every deliverable

  • Build and nurture client relationships

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business context

What You Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2 years of experience

What Sets You Apart

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance preferred

  • Coordinating and/or preparing certain direct and indirect foreign tax returns

  • Interpreting and applying international tax treaties

  • Building relationships with other groups and stakeholders

  • Assisting with the response to partner and agency queries

  • Coordinating and communicating with department leadership

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the Google Suite of tools

  • Broad understanding of RPA and data visualization tools

  • Resolving varied tax and business problems

The salary range for this position is: $54,000 - $184,500, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
