Pixelogic Media Partners, LLC IQC Technician (swing shift) in Burbank, California

Shift: Swing shift 3:30pm-12am

Compensation: $20-24/hr

  • Perform full linear and spot check reviews on all required Audio, Video and Subtitle source materials received.

  • Run verifier and file integrity checks on all required Audio, Video and Subtitle source materials received.

  • Check for audio, subtitle and caption sync as well as positioning in all languages, within client specifications.

  • Log and record all issues found in well organized and detailed QC reports.

  • Follow and complete workflow specific QC checklists without deviation.

  • Ability to work fast with 100% accuracy.

  • Utilize and monitor a production workflow database, inputting data as necessary to track progress.

  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and past their normal scheduled shift if needed.

  • Must be team oriented and maintain a positive team relationship as well as resolving problems quickly with a positive attitude.

  • Duties require high level of attention to details, accurate and methodical approach to testing, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Abide by security policies and protect information assets entrusted to you

Requirements

  • At least two years of audio, video and subtitle QC or Pre-QC experience.

  • Minimum one to two years of experience in A/V quality assurance

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of media including audio, video, subtitles and other immersive elements such as 3D, ATMOS, DTSX, D-Box etc.

  • Technically literate with experience working with various tools for playback, running verifiers, working with complex software and hardware as it pertains to QC

  • Must have strong leadership qualities

  • Requires attention to detail, sound problem solving and root cause analysis

  • Ability to communicate professionally both written and verbally

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude during peak volume

  • Ability and willingness to learn new methods, procedures, or techniques and take on new tasks

  • Passionate about quality, customer experience and customer service excellence

  • Requires accurate and methodical approach to QC. A very detailed attention and focused attitude to audio, video and film impairments and artifacts, while making subjective decision to the severity of an issue and delivering appropriate feedbacks

  • Technically literate; comfortable with a variety of computer applications

  • Strong familiarity with Mac and Windows operating systems and networking

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with only general supervision

  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

  • College degree in media or computer science or other related schooling (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum one to two years of experience in A/V quality assurance
