Disney Entertainment Senior Manager Marketing Engagement & Experiential (DBT &Freeform) in Burbank, California

Disney Branded Television and Freeform are looking for a highly collaborative, pop-culture fanatic with excellent project management and communication skills to come join us as a Senior Manager, Marketing Engagement and Experiential.

The Senior Manager, Marketing Engagement & Experiential will work with the Executive Director of Marketing Engagement and Experiential on strategic development and implementation of Disney Branded Television and Freeform’s consumer marketing initiatives for individual television/streaming series as well as key stunts to increase brand awareness and drive tune-in. This includes but is not limited to developing buzzy brand and series partnerships with cross promotional opportunities, creating bespoke experiential activations, participating at occasional pop culture events throughout the year such as Comic Con, SXSW, Essence festival, etc., as well as Influencer Initiatives (Freeform only). The position will also be responsible for priority series launches including marketing tactics, screenings, and pop-up experiences. Must be able to thrive under pressure and manage many deadlines at once.

Job Description

  • Reports to Executive Director, Marketing Engagement and Experiential.

  • Support Executive Director with all brands, strategy, and execution needs.

  • Strategically approach each campaign and bring innovative ideas to push the brand forward while engaging our audience.

  • Lead project management while taking ownership of budgets, contracts and timelines that clearly define goals and expectations.

  • Develop and execute the partnership strategy in tandem with Exec. Director, while researching and suggesting brands that align well with individual audience and tone.

  • Provide 360 partnership management from ideation to agency briefing to real time development and launch of experiential and partnership activations nationally and locally as well as onsite.

  • Manage members of individual event/partnership project teams consisting of agencies, freelancers and internal team members.

  • Approve all paid Influencer posts ensuring proper tune in and tagging for individual series and stunts in conjunction with the social team. (Freeform Only)

  • Identify opportunities to collaborate with other teams/brands, expanding our reach and delivering value to the attendee/consumer for all experiences and partnerships.

  • Manage aesthetic oversight; evaluate and suggest creative, art and copy pertaining to partnership/event activations while working with appropriate teams for creation and approvals.

  • Present key dates, action items, and updates regularly in stakeholder POD meetings to ensure information is shared and timelines are met.

  • Manage project budgets including the ability to develop accurate cost estimates as well as overseeing vendor setup/invoices from external vendors.

  • Oversee/create project recaps to be shared with key executives at the end of each project.

  • Ideate and lead execution of special projects while working closely with the marketing strategy team. Always ensuring the marketing point of view is advocated for and represented in the final deliverable.

  • Maintain a current working knowledge of relevant competitive and category landscape.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, social media, and device landscape to inform all existing ideas and/or inspire the development of new experiences.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience within Marketing/Experiential Marketing required.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working for a Network, Studio, Streamer, or with Entertainment related clients in Experiential Marketing required.

  • Experience working with multiple projects and stakeholders required.

  • Experience leading meetings and presenting to and will all levels of the organization require.

  • Experiential/partnership agency experience highly preferred.

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to see multiple projects through from start to finish.

  • Experience working within a highly collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams across various departments required.

  • Strong creative instincts and judgement

  • Able to interpret direction and take ownership of assignments to completion

  • Must work well under deadline pressure and exhibit ability to be a team player.

  • Must work within a commutable distance Burbank, CA required. (Posting is onsite 4+days a week)

  • Willingness to travel to events as needed and work for extended hours/weekends required.

Education

  • B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Television, Communications, or another related field Or work equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $102,000 to $136,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
