CAE USA INC Capture Manager - Defence & Security in Burgess Hill, United Kingdom

Role and Responsibilities

Join our Business Development team where you’ll lead and develop the capture management strategy for strategic EMEA opportunities in the order of £40m-120m, helping us to grow within the defence and security market.

We’re looking for you to leverage your experience of capture management and business development in the defence and aerospace industry to help us accelerate this evolution and convert our strong future pipeline.

Your role will include:

  • Focussing on leading the capture management strategy for 1-3 very large opportunities for our clients and partners (including governments and defence forces)

  • Delivering innovative proposals and strategic executive presentations to help us close new opportunities within the governance frameworks

  • Coordinating and managing the bidding and proposals process

  • Managing key customer and OEM partnerships to help leverage CAE’s capabilities to ensure growth in our key strategic markets

  • Lead complex pursuit and capture teams to develop win themes and strategy as a team

  • Understanding and articulate customer problems to influence technology, R&D, and product roadmaps for future bids

  • Making insightful recommendations for new products, extensions, or enhancements

  • Communicate and lead capture management plan including price to win, competitive analysis, and win strategy by coordinating an international multi-disciplined team of resources

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in business development/ capture management within the defence/ aerospace business

  • Track record in strategic and tactical planning and execution of high value commercial pursuits

  • Knowledge of either land, naval, or air domains, ideally from a training and simulation perspective

  • While not essential, it’d be beneficial if you had previously been serving in the armed forces and had existing connections within the customer base

  • Knowledge of other European languages would be beneficial

Location:

Hybrid working with a home site of either Burgess Hill or RAF Benson. Your role will involve a lot of a travel so some flexibility will be required

Who would succeed in this role?

We’re looking for you to have excellent networking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proactivity and being self-driven is also beneficial, as well as being able to work at speed to tight deadlines. You’ll also need high attention to detail and an eye for technical details.

Security requirements:

You must be able to obtain or transfer SC clearance (likely to require 5 years of UK residency). You may also be able to transfer non-UK security clearance from overseas.
