Actalent Lab Technologist in Burlington, North Carolina

Job Title: Lab TechnologistJob Description

Our lab technologist's main function within the Toxicology department is to perform routine laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The role also includes setting up, adjusting, maintaining and cleaning medical laboratory equipment. Additionally, you will be required to analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications using special mechanical and electrical devices. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing, gathering and recording test data to issue reports that use charts, graphs, and narratives. You will obtain specimens, cultivating, isolating and identifying microorganisms for analysis. If any abnormalities are found, you may need to consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Burlington, North Carolina.

Work Environment

You will be working in the Toxicology department. The department is located in a large reference lab on our campus. Be prepared for a dynamic work environment where you will be on your feet throughout the day and comfortable going in and out of walk-in coolers to receive samples.
