The University of Vermont Extension is hiring a youth development professional to lead a portfolio of work and life readiness programs as the 4-H Teen and Leadership Specialist. This position oversees program development, coordination, and teaching for statewide activities. This includes identifying, training, supervising, and collaborating with volunteers and staff, analysis of enrollment and population demographics, strategic thinking, fundraising, promoting, and helping to expand 4-H efforts, through innovative and collaborative youth programs and partnerships in science, health and civic engagement.

Candidates should have a Masters degree and four years\' related experience, or equivalent combination, with focus in youth programming required, and with emphasis on teen and leadership programming desired. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively, possess cultural humility and agility, love teens and be passionate about developing the next generation of leaders.Must possess a commitment to fostering and supporting a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for all.Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, which will include evenings, weekends, and travel, primarily within the state. Remote hybrid telework environment available. Extension office locations are available throughout the state and will be based on candidates location and office availability at time of hire.
