Posting Summary

The Office of Medical Education Program Specialist provides general and operational support to medical education leadership in the planning, implementation, and support of medical education initiatives, programming, and research. The position works closely with leaders, such as the Director of the Learning Environment, the Director of Social Medicine, and the Associate Director of Global Health to coordinate education programming. This position will work with medical students, including organization and management of students traveling with the global health program and collaborate with and mentor students who are participating in research related to medical education. The incumbent will provide administrative oversight for educational dean/director schedules including organizing meetings, preparing agendas and related materials, identifying and researching issues with constituents and advising constituents on acceptable/preferred format for information. The program specialist will assist in preparing medical education documents related to activities and assessment for accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement ( CQI ) related to the medical education programs.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

• Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of related experience

• Project management and computer proficiency are essential.

• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Qualtrics (or equivalent survey program).

• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Adept at conflict resolution

• Creative problem solver

• At least two years of experience collecting and analyzing data.

Desirable Qualifications

• Prior experience working with confidential data preferred.

Anticipated Pay Range $24.00/hr to $27.00/hr

Other Information

Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
