Posting Summary

Provide sustained, in-depth technical assistance to individual farms and small groups of farms to assist them with identifying best practices they seek to adopt, NRCS funding opportunities to support that adoption, and preparation of applications for funding, Prepare and deliver presentations, case studies, webinars and other outreach activities and materials that support grower understanding of, and participation in, NRCS -VT programs.

  Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in a field directly related to agriculture. Four years of experience working in applied agricultural education, extension, and/or outreach, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with project management and reporting. Experience using spreadsheets, word processing.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience applying for and managing funding from federal and/or state programs.

Anticipated Pay Range $24/hr to $30/hr

This position is grant-funded for two years.

Special Conditions Position located in different city, Non-standard work hours required, Bargaining unit position, A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, Travel to and from worksites required, This position is eligible for full-time telework in accordance with the university telecommuting policy
