Sr. Project Manager - (Change and Release Management)
The Sr. Project Manager will evaluate the requirements of the scope of work, analyze resources and develop and maintain schedules, collaborate, communicate, and govern software releases.
Integrate into the PI process - Have an end-to-end overview of all components for release and assess their completeness from a customer standpoint
Work with all cross functional teams to align on release content
Follow deployment schedules and conduct regression analysis. Coordinate with Monitoring for creating and running regression tests
Coordinate with Support teams to clearly communicate known issues and SOPs for issue remediation
Manage release versions
- Manage release records - versions and content for traceability
Understand difference between Change and Release Management and create processes to manage both
Create release policies for each type of release for - Content, cadence, dependencies (regional/ functional/ compliance/infrastructure), governance and recovery management
Understand and perform risk assessment throughout the release life cycle.
Decide and manage the release cadence
Receive inputs on ITL methods of Release and incorporate them
Setup KPIs and metrics for regression errors and publish reports
Initiate corrective actions as necessary as they relate release management
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge.
Hold ITIL certification, or obtain within a reasonable timeframe as defined by department manager
Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office programs. Intermediate to expert level in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Strong administrative skills. Must be very detail oriented.
Exceptional oral and written communications.
High level of patience and service. Ability to motivate team members.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
Ability to travel up to 10% of time.
