Then this may be the job for you!   Bentley Community Schools is seeking a highly organized and energetic individual to oversee all aspects of our concessions operation for home athletic events. This role plays a vital part in supporting our athletes, generating revenue for our athletic programs, and creating a positive experience for our fans.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Season Planning:
    • Collaborate with the Athletic Director to develop a menu that caters to different tastes and dietary needs.
    • Manage inventory lists, purchase orders, ordering and pickup of items, and budgets
    • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for concession stands.
    • Develop operational procedures for opening, sales, closing, and sanitation.
  • Game Day Operations:
    • Ensure start-up cash box is ready to go and that workers understand the procedure for deposits.
    • Ensure the setup and cleanup of the concession area for each event.
    • Manage inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
    • Ensure food preparation meets all health and safety regulations.
    • Train and supervise volunteers on proper cash handling, customer service, and food safety.
    • Monitor sales and adjust inventory or menu options based on demand.
    • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales and transactions.
  • Post-Season:
    • Conduct a thorough inventory and reconcile accounts.
    • Analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare reports for the Athletic Director.
    • Assist with off-season planning and equipment maintenance.
  • Qualifications:
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Identify volunteers with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
    • Detail-oriented and highly reliable.
    • Experience working with food and beverage operations is a plus.
    • Proficient in basic computer and spreadsheet software.
    • Must be able to pass a background check.
    • Must be available to work evenings and weekends during athletic seasons.
  • Compensation: $2,000 (fall and winter events)
