$5,000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE

Schedule: Hybrid schedule working a mix of in-office and working from home, Monday through Friday, daylight hours.

Job Summary/Overall Objectives

The Senior Provider Compensation Analyst will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, reporting and support of individual and/or group (specialty) provider incentive compensation settlements/calculations according to contractual terms set forth in Medical Providers agreements. Performs tasks required for the accurate incentive calculation and payment of provider compensation for the Medical Providers medical group. Prepares and documents data necessary to calculate provider incentive compensation in accordance with contracts, addendums, and overall compensation plans.

  • Prepare analyzed data in a manner so that the reader will understand quickly the purpose for which the information was gathered, and the conclusions reached.

  • Be aware of format (font, print ranges, scale, etc.) so that the reader does not have to manage the information.

  • Communicates status of tasks/issues and results in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Prepare and distribute periodic reports on a timely basis, including but not limited to, responsibility, statistical, summary financial, payroll, FTE, collections, including reports relating to the annual budget process, but not limited to, as well as various financial analysis reports.

  • Distribute in a timely and effective manner the provider compensations reports and other related reports as assigned.

  • Actively participates in staff meetings, bringing ideas and volunteering to take on tasks.

  • Willingly helps another team member who may be absent or needs help.

  • Responsible for provider incentive compensation budget process and variance analysis.

  • Lead person for performing budget process.

  • Lead person for analyzing variances.

  • Responsible to guiding staff with the budget process and analysis.

  • Perform analysis and review of Axiom Financial System.

  • Lead person for analyzing and reviewing provider incentive compensation budget variances.

  • Responsible for guiding staff in the use of Axiom.

  • Assists in the design and analysis related to budget, forecasts, variances, etc. adhering to department standards regarding work productivity and quality.

  • Performs other related accounting, financial or administrative special projects as may be required from time to time by the Director of Finance.

  • Active participant in the incentive plan structure design.

  • Maintains confidentiality in handling highly sensitive information, including provider incentive compensation pay design and individual pay/benefits information.

  • Support annual financial and/or compliance audits as necessary as related to physician incentive compensation.

  • Analyze and prepare monthly reports for management on physician productivity.

  • Point person and handles all physician’s incentive compensation questions.

  • Prepares and submits provider compensation survey data.

  • Subject matter expert for provider compensation

  • Other duties as assigned.

Competency and Experience (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a focus on accounting or financial reporting and analysis, professional billing, or provider compensation.

  • Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, and sound judgment.

  • Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Basic knowledge of provider compensation, including but not limited to healthcare reimbursement, compliance, payroll budget, data integrity, work relative value unit (wRVU) productivity, benchmarking and accounting.

License, Certification & Clearances

  • Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police system

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.).

  • Travel may be expected locally between System locations.
