NORTHWESTERN ENERGY Physical Security Analyst in BUTTE, Montana
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or Security related field or equivalent years of experience
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well and maintain relationships with individuals on all levels of the organization including subject matter experts
- Strong computer skills, excellent written and oral communications skills and strong organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to complete both large, interesting projects and more routine tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly motivated, have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays, driving and flying up to 35%
- Safely lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to pass an employment physical, a drug test and a background check
- ASIS Physical Security Professional certification desired
DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission and strategic business objectives
- Identify, improve and gather analytical data to support and comprehend complex data into reliable and supportable reports
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Contribute in developing and implementing an overall physical asset protection strategy (Physical Security Roadmap) and Hydro Generation physical security plan that ensures compliance with federal, state and local requirements
- Assist in implementation of an overall company-wide Physical Security Strategy, this includes developing policies and procedures to address physical security requirements across all departments and integrating existing physical and cyber security policies and procedures within the Physical Security Strategy
- Research physical security best practices and benchmark utility physical security objectives and protections
- Prepare reports of findings and associated recommendations for review and action by appropriate company managers, directors and officers
- Coordinate responsibilities to federal and industry entities as they relate to NERC and FERC compliance, including internal and external audits
- Conduct meetings and presentations to provide updates to on-going projects and processes
- Support and assist with: Execution of the Physical Security Road Map; Inventory of Physical Assets and existing security measures; Assess Risks/Vulnerabilities; Prioritize Risks and Asset Protection Objectives; Conduct Benchmarking and Risk Tolerance Assessment; Risk Mitigation Planning Physical Security Cultural Improvement; Implementation of Physical Security Protections
- Provide support in evaluating current physical security measures and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Assist in developing recommendations to enhance regulatory compliance and other physical security plans
- Assist with investigations of security incidents extensive and complex system-wide investigations related to: crimes against company property and/or personnel, violations of company policies, general procedures, or standards of conduct and integrity, EEO complaints, and violence in the workplace concerns
- Maintain a strong working relationship with a diverse cross-section of internal/external contacts including executives, department heads, line management, bargaining unit employees, contractors/vendors, law enforcement and local, state and federal governmental agencies, as required
- Develop knowledge and expertise in regulatory requirements related to physical security needs within the organization and apply requirements to physical security system
- Support the installation and maintenance of physical and electronic protection systems throug out the company including design, consulting and installation
- Engage and train physical security contractors in supporting these systems
- Serve in the absence of the Physical Security Coordinator, as the local point of contact or expert on all matters pertaining to corporate security policies and practices
- Perform other duties or projects as needed or assigned
Full-time position.
$54,000 - $121,800 annually, depending on experience. Hours worked outside of defined core business hours do qualify for premium pay opportunities.
