Menzies Aviation Automated Passport Control Supervisor - $16.60/hour (Full Time) at BWI Airport in BWI Airport, Maryland

Description

Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the operation of the Automated Passport Control (APC) Federal Inspection Station (FIS) activities, ensuring Agent performance and maintaining effective customer service by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

  • Planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the FIS activities and Agents to meet established service delivery, timelines and customer expectations.

  • Maintains effective relationships with customers. Ensures work standards and performance are compliant with Customer expectations.

  • Identifies, manages and utilizes needed resources in order to meet the operational goals and timely service.

  • Understands issues and opportunities for improvement, gathers necessary data and communicates with appropriate personnel to resolve issues.

  • Ensures Team Members successfully comply with all Company training requirements,Investigates causes of accidents and recommends safety measures for preventing further occurrences.

  • Complies with the Station's attendance standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Location: Baltimore International Airport

  • Rate of Pay: $16.60 per hour

  • Schedule: 1:30pm - 9:00pm (Weekends and holidays required)

  • Training: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 3:30pm

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; addressing issues, resolving issues, and ensuring employees successfully complete company's training program.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociates degree (AA.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSPossess and maintains a valid State driver's license and other FAA/Airport required identifications/seals or authorizations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
