Aerotek General Production Worker in BYRON CENTER, Michigan

General Production Worker

Responsibilities

  • Load steel onto the machines.

  • Check parts after they go through the machine, sanding down or deburring as necessary.

  • Perform quality checks and inspections on parts.

  • Stack parts onto a rack and move them to the shipping and receiving department.

  • Help sweep and clean to maintain a clean shop environment.

Essential Skills

  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a job shop setting.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

This is a job shop setting with about 40 employees. The shop is equipped with lasers, CNC machines, brake press machines, various drilling machines, assembly, and welding. While the shop can get hot, we have fans and keep the doors open during the summer to circulate air. The shop is relatively clean for a metal job shop, but be prepared to get your clothes dirty. Initiative and teamwork are highly valued in our environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BYRON CENTER, Michigan.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
