Job Description:

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring best-in-class support, maintenance and administration of physical security technology and associated software applications (including but not limited to CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms) for SpartanNash facilities. Conducts on-going risk assessments to identify potential physical security risks and vulnerabilities and creates plans to mitigate them. Work with internal and external users to ensure they are adequately trained in all systems and technologies and will coordinate service and maintenance requests in a timely manner which limit system downtime or otherwise expose SpartanNash to security risks.

Here's what you’ll do:

  • Manage and provide oversight to Video Management System (VMS), access control system, alarms, and other security technology.

  • Conduct ongoing functionality review of security systems to ensure proper coverage and operation.

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to physical security systems. Analyze system malfunctions, conduct diagnosis, and identify root cause of problems. Implement appropriate solutions or escalate issues to higher-level support, as necessary.

  • Collaborate with end users to ensure personnel are appropriately trained to use security equipment, conducting regular training classes, and providing guidance and coaching.

  • Assist with the design and implementation of security systems to ensure consistent standards.

  • Create measurable reporting process and KPIs to include alarm monitoring, incident response, tracking and reporting, and other service areas.

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to evaluate program effectiveness and ability to meet internal and external stakeholder needs.

  • Monitor intelligence analysis, threat, crisis, and emergency response programs.

  • Support of Crisis Management and Business Continuity incident reporting structure as required by SpartanNash’s Crisis Management programs.

  • Provide support to ensure consistent standards relative to the preparation and training of emergency evacuation and crisis teams.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field.

  • Three years’ experience in commercial security systems, support, programming and servicing access control and video management systems.

  • Technical training preferred on systems (CCURE 900, Avigilon, or other applicable systems).

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Available to respond to phone, email, and other communications after hours regarding critical system concerns to find quick resolution of issues.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
