Liberty Healthcare Corporation Administrative Assistant - mental health services in CA, United States

Liberty Healthcare Corporation is now hiring for a full-time Administrative Assistant position.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who are pursuing a career in the mental health field and looking to gain relevant experience.

In this role, you will provide a wide array of administrative and clerical support to Liberty Healthcare’s mental health program which is located onsite at the West Valley Detention Center – a San Bernardino County jail located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The specific responsibilities of this position include:

  • Handling a wide array of clerical duties

  • Supporting licensed mental health clinicians and physicians

  • Organizing and auditing client charts, files, and other health data

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Composing, typing, and editing various documents including letters, memoranda, forms and reports

  • Maintaining strict adherence to patient confidentiality and HIPPA

  • Supporting various projects

  • Taking the initiative to find ways to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the program staff

As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect:

  • $20.00 to $23.00 per hour

You are a good fit for this position if you possess these attributes:

  • Prior professional experience in healthcare or human services setting

  • Knowledge of mental health / general healthcare terminology

  • Excellent time management, organization, computer planning/problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Preferred consideration will be given to individuals who are seeking a position with upward mobility while pursuing a career in Clinical Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy with aspirations of becoming licensed as a LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
