Kelly Services Staff Pharmacist – Houston, MN in Caledonia, Minnesota

Staff Pharmacist – Houston, MN

Could be full or part time – multiple locations

The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing, consultation, and clinical services to patients.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of college of pharmacy or ACPE accredited school

  • Licensed as a Pharmacist in Minnesota

  • 2+ years pharmacy experience in a retail setting

  • Detail oriented and very organized in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Foster healthier lives through compassionate relationships with co-workers and customers.

  • Possess thorough knowledge of pharmacy practice and law.

  • Assist in training staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and customer service associates.

  • Accurately and promptly receive, process, fill, and verify prescriptions.

  • Respond promptly to all patient inquiries, providing exceptional service.

  • Adhere to pharmacy operations policies and procedures.

  • Comply with all state and federal statutes, rules, and regulations related to pharmacy practice.

  • Collect and reconcile billing information for Medicaid and Medicare for DME and supplies to ensure adequate payment.

  • Counsel patients on new prescriptions and any refills with changes in therapy or patient condition.

  • Address and resolve patient and employee complaints in the absence of the pharmacy manager.

  • Be prepared and willing to perform duties of pharmacy technicians and customer service associates as needed.

  • Stay current with the latest information on drug therapy and side effects.

  • Maintain CPR certification and complete continuing education requirements set by the Board of Pharmacy.

  • Complete training and certification for administering immunizations and maintain competency.

  • Stay informed about prescription drug pricing and reimbursement to optimize gross profit margins.

  • Assist in managing drug inventory levels to maximize return on investment.

  • Support promotional activities within the pharmacy and Home Health Care category.

  • Respond promptly to emails, voice messages, and memos from corporate staff, typically within one business day if the pharmacy manager is unavailable.

  • Participate in new programs and services to help patients achieve positive therapeutic outcomes.

  • Be aware of and support continuous quality improvement and quality assurance programs.

  • Adapt quickly to changes in company policy and workflow.

  • Participate in regular touchpoint meetings, ensuring follow-through on discussed items.

  • Other duties as assigned
