Baptist Memorial Specialist-Human Resources in Calhoun City, Mississippi

Summary

Performing essential clerical, data entry, and general office duties in a responsible and confidential manner. Handling phone calls and guiding employees to the appropriate Human Resources staff member when additional assistance is required. Independently gathering and summarizing information for special projects. Providing crucial assistance to the Human Resources Manager and Director in planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling operations to meet department goals and objectives, influencing the overall success of the department. Playing a pivotal role in supporting department managers in wage and salary matters.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical and data entry tasks, as well as general office duties.- Keep department files and records organized, accessible, and current to ensure continuous workflow.- Assist both internal and external applicants with employment needs and personnel transactions.- Administer benefit plans and assist the HR Manager and Director with the performance management process by addressing issues related to pay and compensation.- Utilize information and telecommunication systems to maintain records, correspondence, and reports in a standardized form as directed.- Achieve assigned goals.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education:- Preferred: Bachelor's degree- Minimum: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in standard English, both verbally and in writing. Also, should be able to write legibly and accurately record information.

Experience:- Preferred: 2 years of experience in human resources, preferably in the healthcare industry- Minimum: 2 years of secretarial or clerical experience

Special Skills:- Preferred: Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft products and their associated programs- Minimum: Previous experience with automated HR/Payroll systems; proficiency in Excel and Word
