Required Education: High School or equivalent.

Required Experience: 1-3 years

Hourly wage range - $19.00/hr to $29.00/hr

The Procurement Specialist will support the lifecycle operations of material acquisitions related to projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain record keeping systems

Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.

Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.

Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.

Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.

Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries

Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic.

Report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor.

Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

Prepare Purchase requisition forms using MS Excel and Adobe.

Conduct market research and gather quotes from vendors.

Perform best cost analysis and collaborate with buyer to award purchase orders.

Assist in the purchase order closeout process to include creating DD1149’s and pulling reports in Deltek Costpoint.

Update ordering and receiving trackers in Excel.

Ensure purchase requisition files are uploaded and organized in MS SharePoint.

Work with vendors to initiate the RMA process as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:   

• Ability to receive and maintain a clearance.

• Self starter/motivated individual; as the person at times will be working independently

• Ability to work within a flexible team environment with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of project support staff, vendors, and stakeholders.

• Ability to multi-task among several projects while being detail-oriented and organized

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, as well as establish and maintain a strong customer focused working relationship

• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and Word is required

      

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting 50% Standing 50%, Walking 80%, Carrying up to 25lbs 75% Reaching 80%, Near Acuity and Color Determination 100%, Speaking with customers 100%, Listening 100%, Sight 100%, Use of Hands/Fingers 100%

• Exposure to vibrations 80%

• Exposure to noise sufficient to cause the need for shouting to be heard 20%

• Exposure to hazards cush as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current
