Vail Resorts HR Data Analyst in California

Job Summary:
The People Analytics function is an integral part of Human Resources at Vail Resorts. By leveraging data and reporting techniques, the Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting HR data using complex analysis of datasets in areas of Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Development, HR Services and other HR functions. Strong aptitude for distilling large amounts of data into a meaningful story is critically important. This position requires understanding of advanced methods to analyze and interpret data from various sources with an outcome to measure success and solve business needs. This position ensures data integrity by implementing quality assurance best practices and appropriate methods to create consistent, repeatable reports.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $56,000 - $67,400. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
Job Responsibilities:
Managing data requests to resolve and analyze business problems working directly with customers determining if the right questions are being asked.
Audit and review data to ensure data integrity in various HR systems (SuccessFactors, People Soft, Saba (Learning Management System), Service Now, Onbase, etc).
Apply data governance standards and utilize standardized process to ensure data integrity and prioritization of requests.
Create business driven dashboards and reports for repeatable use by HR teams and corresponding business partners.
Generate standard and ad hoc reports, and analyze data to measure and provide accurate and consistent assessment of HR data.
Create presentations to share insights and actionable recommendations in a concise manner with key stakeholders: HR Leadership and team members, and other internal partners.
Act as a point of contact to provide reports for key questions that arise from operational tasks and projects associated with HR’s goals and initiatives.
Develop and maintain end of year reports to assist with goal and performance planning for the next fiscal year.
Job Qualifications:
2+ years of general reporting experience in an Analyst or related role.
Exceptional quantitative and analytic skills with high degree of attention to detail.
Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), inclusive of pivot tables, charts/graphs for reporting
Good operational experience or knowledge with HR processes and systems related to workforce reporting, recruiting, learning, performance management and overall people data preferred
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency working with very large data sets, developing tools for streamlined analysis and creating reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts.
Ability to identify and interpret data and identify patterns in data or processes.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Preferred:
Knowledge of HR and data privacy laws, information security and quality principles
Strong design aesthetic and visualizations skills; experience in Tableau preferred
Prior experience with reporting from PeopleSoft HR
SQL knowledge
