Our team is looking for an Associate Systems Test Engineer / System Test Engineer to support the U.S. Navy's EA-18G Growler Block II Program by supporting software integration testing and systems engineering of the EA-18G’s Airborne Electronic Attack Subsystems. The ideal System Test Engineer will have a system engineering background to include experience with EW or RADAR and experience working with software requirements (which may include developing and executing test plans to verify software requirements as well as writing software requirements). We are looking for a highly motivated candidate that enjoys learning and solving problems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex electronic warfare systems alongside a multi-disciplinary team.
We are looking for an individual that is passionate, driven, a self-starter, and goal oriented. All tasking will be performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA office.
What you’ll get to do:
Support software coding and development by performing software integration, regression, and verification testing for an EW system
Develop complex test procedures to verify subsystem level requirements
Analyze system designs and develop subsystem requirements
Identify software problems and support follow-on investigations
Work as part of an Agile team
Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites, and other technical disciplines
Participate and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter-change meetings

Basic Qualifications for Associate Systems Test Engineer:
BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 6 months of experience
Experience with requirements management databases (e.g., DOORS) or systems engineering processes
Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active U.S. Secret Clearance.
Ability to work onsite full-time
Basic Qualifications for Systems Test Engineer:
BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2 years of experience; or Master’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
Experience with requirements management databases (e.g., DOORS) or systems engineering processes
Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active U.S. Secret Clearance.
Ability to work onsite full-time
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Electronic Warfare principles
Background in EW or RADAR
Embedded software test development experience
Familiarity with Atlassian software development and collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)
Demonstrated excellent communication skills and be able to work in a self-directed manner
Must be able to demonstrate proven leadership capabilities in the area of Systems Engineering
Demonstrated Ability to work on own initiative
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a close team environment
Experience troubleshooting & solving problems and strong desire to understand how the system worksThis position in contingent upon clearance.
Salary Range: $65,600 - $98,400
Salary Range 2: $79,300 - $118,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
