SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Program Administrator, the Supervisor supervises the implementation of day services for adults with developmental disabilities in community and employment settings. The Supervisor directly supervises all Employment Specialists, and Senior Employment Specialists. Areas of particular responsibility include arranging staff and participant daily schedules, facilitating natural supports, devising data-based, teaching strategies and functional community integrated curriculum, employer relations and writing participants' Individual Service Plans. The Supervisor treats participants and staff in accordance with Service Description, Institute Personnel Policies, ethical practices and legal mandates, and ensures that persons served present as normal a profile to the community as possible. The Supervisor sets an example for staff by maintaining a consistent positive attitude which is imperative to the success of the service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Trains employees by ensuring completion of New Orientation Training within required timelines, presenting in services to the team on a quarterly basis, and providing additional direction and support to employees on an as needed basis.
Monitors and evaluates employee performance on a consistent basis, providing at least annual performance evaluations to all employees.
Implements corrective and progressive disciplinary measures to ensure IABA/STEP policies are followed and quality services are delivered, in accordance with IABA disciplinary procedures.
Completes other management training as assigned
Coordinate Services
Ensures supported employment and community sites are managed within philosophical guidelines of STEP.
Conducts presentations and tours of service to parents, agencies, community groups or other entities.
Participates in Regional Center Vendor meetings and other Regional Center events to promote inter-agency collaboration.
Maintains relations with supported employment sites, community sites, parent/care-providers, or significant others to promote collaborative relations.
Ensures that SanData schedules are promptly posted, while meticulously verifying that all logs and codes accurately correspond to the services rendered by employees.
Ensures that Payroll and Billing data is audited for validity on a semi-monthly basis as defined by the payroll schedule.
Ensures proper documentation and reporting procedures for supported employment-related items such as consumer earnings, social security reporting, tax credits and work agreements, and sub-minimum wage.
Maintain statistics and records such as employee and participant lists, consumer records and forms
Maintains personnel files for employees and submit them to Human
Participates on IABA Committees, as assigned.
Promotes cooperation and communication between IABA departments.
Home office: Camarillo, CA w/ occasional travel to Northridge office and neighboring sites
Requirements
Bachelor’s in education, psychology, or related field or at least 3 years experience relevant to employment, relationship and/or skill building with persons with developmental disabilities
2 years minimum direct experience with clientele
1-2 of experience supervising other staff / team.
Physically able to implement all strategies as they are defined in IABA's "Emergency Management Guidelines," including geographical and emergency physical containment.
Substitute if a senior staff is not available to fill in for Senior Day program job coach in the field
Possess a valid CA driver's license
Provide proof of current car insurance
Provide proof of formal documentation of highest level of education completed and/or qualifying certificates
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Successfully pass a Background check
Vehicle has been deemed safe to operate and maintained as such
Holds current automobile insurance
Driving Record that does not include any active/current points of infractions
Travel within Ventura and San Fernando County
Travel as needed for leadership meetings, conferences

Salary: $66,000-69,000/year, Exempt
