Job Title: Associate Director, Consumer Marketing - US Rare Hematology

Location : Cambridge, MA

About the Job

This role will drive consumer marketing efforts with the primary focus on rilzabrutinib. Rilzabrutinib is an innovative BTK inhibitor and a ‘pipeline in a pill’ with its anticipated first launch in Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP), an autoimmune rare blood disorder.

This position is based in Cambridge, MA and will report into Director of Consumer marketing for rare hematology.

Main Responsibilities:

  • This individual will develop a thorough understanding of core patient needs from awareness, acquisition and through retention to inform and guide all aspects of patient engagement and will be responsible for creating core consumer messaging and creative campaigns.

  • A strong partnership with multiple cross-functional teams and agencies to align promotional plans and strategies with brand objectives, goals, and budgets is a key piece of this role.

  • This individual will also ensure that all important strategies are aligned with digital and media priorities such as search, display, social media channels among others.

  • Familiarity with brand strengths, opportunities, competitive challenges, and key attributes of the brand lifecycle to support the execution of consumer activities to drive desired behavior change.

  • Partner with the consumer agency to develop core messaging and creative campaigns.

  • Work closely with our pioneering patient support services and other agency partners to develop and execute consumer programs.

  • Manage strategy of and day-to-day activities for patient ambassador programs.

  • Work with market research to develop and execute research and measurement testing needed to develop programs and measure expected returns/success.

  • Support the development and management of the consumer marketing budget.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups which may include, HCP marketing, Global Marketing, Sales, Research & Development, Medical Affairs, Business Development, Market Research, Life Cycle Management and Finance

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industries.

  • Prior US launch experience is strong desired.

  • Fostering strong cross-functional bonds, building consensus with strong bias towards action.

  • Experience in competitive markets (such as oncology, hemophilia and immunology disease states like dermatology, respiratory, rheumatology etc.) is strongly desired.

  • Leadership – skills to envision, engage, enable, and execute.

  • Cooperate transversally - collaboration and influence skills up-down-across organizations and cultures/geographies. Creatively partners to find solutions.

  • Agency management.

  • Regulatory review experience.

  • Demonstrates solution-oriented approach and proficient problem-solving skills.
