Job Title: Boiler Operator for Low Pressure Steam Boilers

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Operator for low pressure steam boilers in Cambridge pharmaceutical buildings. This role has a strong possibility of evolving into a Chief Engineer position within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain low pressure steam boilers

  • Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on boiler systems

  • Conduct regular maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical systems

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures

  • Collaborate with the facilities maintenance team to ensure optimal operation of equipment

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs

Essential Skills

  • 2nd Fireman's License

  • 3-5 years of experience in boiler operation and maintenance

  • High level of mechanical skill

  • Experience with plumbing and facilities maintenance

  • EPA Universal certification

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 3rd Engineer License (preferred)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Creativity and attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Work Environment

You will be working in two large pharmaceutical buildings in Cambridge, operating two low pressure steam boilers. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and involves regular interaction with the facilities maintenance team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00
