Computer Refresh Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as a principal source of information on computer selection reach outs and advises faculty or staff on existing options or alternatives.

  • Supports outreach to schedule individual deployments as they relate to overall schedule.

  • May assist in preparing orders for computers and related deployment hardware.

  • Ensures customer satisfaction with deployments through follow up and corrective action.

  • Assists in assigning assets to individuals and updating corresponding asset records.

Asset Management Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with customers to determine asset reporting needs.

  • Create reports, review asset trends and review with management on next steps.

  • Assists in managing inventory and asset tracking.

  • Tracks purchased assets from inception through resale or disposal

  • Tracks leased assets from inception through disposal/return

  • Completes asset audits.

Administrative Duties & Responsibilities

  • Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties.

  • Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications between our unit, staff, and faculty.

  • Gathers and maintains data for and assists in preparing reports and/or spreadsheets, often using a variety of computer software.

  • Will compose, proofread, edit, and prepare correspondence, reports and other materials using Word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases.

  • Participates in measuring performance and capturing/reporting on lessons learned to continuously improve the deployment project and process.

  • Contributes to unit goals by accomplishing related duties as required.

This position will require a minimum of two days a week onsite and during the orientation and review period up to full time (5 days), and the hire must live in a commutable state (Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont). Additional travel to campus may be necessary based on business needs and the nature of work. Examples include bi-annual or quarterly Town Halls, critical business meetings or other work events. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only).
