FINANCIAL ANALYST, Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART), to work in close partnership with the SMART financial manager on a variety of financial duties. Will assist with the development and implementation of a financial reporting system; track and communicate performance metrics and trends; conduct financial analyses and financial modeling to enable strategic decision making; work in close partnership with finance colleagues, principal investigators, and department administrators to provide financial reports with narrative analysis; maintain roles authorities; work with end users to improve financial controls and streamline processes and procedures; assist with overseeing SMART accounts and processing expense reports; and perform related duties and special projects as requested.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in finance, data analysis, management, or related field; at least three years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility; finance/analytical background and the ability to navigate complex operational and financial systems; proven ability to work with all levels of management; flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances; ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; willingness to dive deep into the details while also keeping an eye on the big picture; strong time and project management skills; ability to clearly communicate in writing; attention to detail; self-motivation; and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues. PREFERRED: MBA or advanced degree in finance, data analysis, management, or related field; advanced-level Excel skills, including querying, pivot tables, and formulaic knowledge; working knowledge of budget management, financial analysis, and financial modeling; experience with Outlook, IBM-COGNOS, Tableau, Oracle, SAP, and Brio Query; and experience in higher education.
