HealthFitness is looking for Front Desk Staff to join the Harvard Recreation team on campus in Cambridge, MA. In this position, you will greet, check-in and assist customers; provide program information, services, membership and ensure the highest possible level of customer service and participant satisfaction.

Flexible hours between 6am-11pm Mon-Fri; 9am-8pm Sat; 9am-11pm Sun.

Must be willing to be scheduled at any of our three facilities: Malkin Athletic Center, Hemenway Gymnasium, Quadrangle Recreational Athletic Center

What you'll be doing

• Greeting, checking in, and assisting customers. Provide program information services and membership information.

• Hourly facility walk-through rounds to assess safety and cleanliness.

• Periodic inventory checks of recreation equipment and merchandise.

• Check in and registration for group exercise classes.

• Efficiently respond to client and participant requests, comments, or concerns and brings issues to a timely and appropriate resolution

• Maintains and updates participant and facility policies as appropriate. Educates participants on policies and procedures.

• Opening and closing duties depending on shift hours.

• Helps with all member service desk administration and processes including phones and membership enrollments. Participates in internal programs, special events, and membership drives. Collects membership fees and performs related recordkeeping.

• Other duties as needed/assigned

What you'll need to have

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Previous customer service experience a plus.

• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
