SMMA Mechanical Engineer in Cambridge, Massachusetts
SMMA has an opportunity for a Mid-Level HVAC Design Engineer. This position offers the ability to work on a range of multiple design project types and requires a good balance of technical, communication, and organizational skills.
Our Engineering team is a part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary design firm with a dynamic mix of architects and engineers. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare HVAC calculations
Prepare HVAC drawings utilizing Autodesk Revit Building Information Modelling (BIM) Software
Select HVAC equipment
Provide interdisciplinary coordination
Review construction administration submittals
Provide field surveys and other tasks related to construction site visits.
Requirements:
3-6 years of experience in HVAC systems design
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
EIT/PE Registration is preferred
Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Load Calculation programs, MS Office
Able to perform site visits on active construction sites
