SMMA has an opportunity for a Mid-Level HVAC Design Engineer.  This position offers the ability to work on a range of multiple design project types and requires a good balance of technical, communication, and organizational skills. 

Our Engineering team is a part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary design firm with a dynamic mix of architects and engineers. Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepare HVAC calculations 

• Prepare HVAC drawings utilizing Autodesk Revit Building Information Modelling (BIM) Software  

• Select HVAC equipment 

• Provide interdisciplinary coordination 

• Review construction administration submittals 

• Provide field surveys and other tasks related to construction site visits. 

Requirements: 

• 3-6 years of experience in HVAC systems design 

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written  

• EIT/PE Registration is preferred 

• Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Load Calculation programs, MS Office 

• Able to perform site visits on active construction sites
