Posting Description
POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Mechanical Engineering, to perform cutting-edge research on projects centered around machine learning models for engineering design in the Design Computation and Digital Engineering (DeCoDE) (https://decode.mit.edu/) laboratory at MIT under the guidance of Dr. Faez Ahmed. Will be responsible for researching, designing, and developing novel methods and algorithms for applications in the engineering design domain and performing other duties as needed.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Ph.D. in computer science, mechanical engineering, applied math, or related field; research experience in machine-learning/AI algorithm development, specifically in deep generative models and/or graph neural networks; strong publication record in machine learning and AI venues; proven competence with programming methods such as Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and Julia; self-motivation with and demonstrated ability to conduct independent research; strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; and ability to deliver results, adapt to change, work on research proposals, and work in team-oriented environments.
