Dorchester County Public Schools is currently accepting applications for TEACHERS for positions that become available for the 2024-2025 school year. Working under the direction of the school principal and the content supervisor, this positions works with students in decision-making, interpersonal development, and academic growth by providing the strategies, resources, and instruction to enable each student to meet the demands of the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards. Applicants must:

• Possess, or be eligible for, a Maryland Department of Education Teaching Certificate.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, DCPS curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, polices, and effective instructional practices.
• Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multi-cultural education.
• Possess an understanding of the Maryland Technology Literacy Standards for students (plus the Teacher Standard) and ability to infuse technology into curriculum.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school-based staff, students, parents, and the community at large.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human relation skills.
