DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Records Specialist Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and securing inmate records. You will review court orders, prepare documentation for use at judicial hearings, and oversee preparations for inmate release. You will also fingerprint and photograph inmates, as well as help inmates and staff with record interpretation. As supervisor, you will train staff and monitor policy, practice, and legal compliance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Corrections Records Specialist (Commonwealth job title); or
  • One year of experience as a Records Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title); or
  • Four years of clerical or correctional custodial experience that includes two years of specialized records work in a correctional facility; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of specialized records work experience in a correctional facility.

Other Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
