Lockheed Martin Controls Engineer in Camden, Arkansas

Description: Come join Lockheed Martin, Missiles and Fire Control in Camden, AR as a Controls Engineer. Camden Operations is a facility occupying over 2,000 acres and 2 million square feet of manufacturing space building rockets, missiles, launch canisters, and ground vehicles, as well as housing a state-of-the-art machining center. The facility currently has over 1,000 employees.

In this role, you will be responsible for the concept, design and documentation of automated manufacturing and related equipment required to support site manufacturing processes to meet production rate requirements.

Duties include:

Troubleshoot and resolve existing electrical and controls equipment such as PLCs, AC & DC motors, servo drives, variable frequency drives.

Make improvements to existing controls equipment to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency.

Develop electrical automation equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications culminating in complete construction packages fully defining the electrical and controls equipment for fabrication, assembly, checkout and startup by internal or external technicians.

Design and documentation to be accomplished IAW company and industry standards utilizing Dassault DraftSight (or equivalent) CAD software.

Works collaboratively with others in mechanical engineering, quality, safety, IT and other roles to arrive at best practice solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience/combined education.

Working knowledge of electrical and logic drawings

Proficient with MS Office suite

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve industrial automation equipment issues

Knowledgeable of machine electrical design

Knowledgeable of industrial electronics and electrical components

Able to select and specify field devices and sensors

Knowledgeable of general manufacturing processes

Ability to meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure

Communicates well with technical, management, and front line employees

Desired Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology degree or related discipline.

Experienced with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC, ControlLogix, FactoryTalk, RSView

Proficient with AutoCAD, Dassault DraftSight 2D (or comparable) CAD software to develop and finalize electrical control drawings

Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings

Familiar with the NFPA 70 National Electric Code

Experience designing industrial control systems, including power distribution, VFDs, motors, circuit protection, control devices, instrumentation, etc.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
