Overview

L3Harris is seeking a Sr Associate Manufacturing Engineer in our Camden, AR facility. The selected individual will perform professional assignments following established policies. This position requires professional judgment and use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. This position will be located in our Camden, Arkansas facility.

Essential Functions

• Perform technical supervision and troubleshooting of complex operations involved in the manufacture of Warhead mixing, casting and assembly operations

• Originate, prepare, and maintain detailed planning (Standard Operating Procedures) for the manufacture of inert/energetic components

• Perform hands-on pilot operations for manufacture of new inert/energetic components, and development program components

• Accurately report problems, solutions, and results in concise written and oral communications

• Perform mathematical calculations for geometric checks and chemical mixtures

• Obtain and/or maintain, a US government security clearance

  Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior manufacturing engineering experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior manufacturing engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior manufacturing engineering experience

• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, practices and concepts

  Preferred Additional Qualifications:

• Active US government security clearance

• Knowledge of and ability to use CAD software

• Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical professionals at all levels

• Ability to prepare and present effective technical and non-technical presentations

• Prior defense industry experience
