General Summary The Data Science Manager - Procurement plays a pivotal role in enhancing the Procurement organization's capabilities through data science and advanced analytics. This position is responsible for contributing to the strategy and execution of initiatives that leverage data to drive efficiency, innovation, and decision-making processes. The role involves close collaboration with IT and cross-functional teams to develop and implement analytical tools and solutions that support the organization's growth objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to influence our procurement strategies by transforming insights into actionable foresights and optimizing our operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization. Principal Accountabilities Develop and execute an advanced analytics program to enhance procurement operations, reduce manual tasks, and improve decision-making speed. Align procurement risk management strategies with business objectives, incorporate predictive analytics for informed decision-making. Communicate data insights clearly to the Senior Leadership Team and engage with procurement teams to understand their needs and support them with data-driven solutions. Adopt and integrate AI and generative AI technologies to automate procurement processes, enhance decision-making, and identify innovative sourcing opportunities. Collaborate with IT and business partners to implement data-driven solutions for cost reduction and quality improvement. Identify revenue enhancement opportunities through data and forensic analytics, working closely with sales, marketing, and finance to align procurement strategies. Champion continuous improvement and professional development within the team, keeping up with industry trends and new technologies. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration, providing leadership and direction. Job Complexity Collaborate effectively across all levels within the organization and with external suppliers in a matrixed environment to align on supply base design and strategic procurement decisions. Balance competing business requirements, such as cost versus innovation or local versus overall benefits, to negotiate and recommend optimal solutions.
