General Summary: Inventors, Brand Builders, and Food Lovers Wanted! We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior R&D Scientist to join our team. This role will focus on designing new food products in the soup, meals, snacks, and beverage categories. The ideal candidate will drive innovation around new enterprise growth initiatives, leveraging strong cross-functional influencing skills to create product designs that are deeply grounded in consumer needs. The right candidate will also have strong technical skills with experience in both internal and external manufacturing and end-to-end commercialization. We are looking for someone with a strong sense of entrepreneurship who has had experience building new brands from scratch and be able to demonstrate previous successful innovation launches. Primary Responsibilities: * Lead the development of new food products in the soup, meals, snacks, and beverage categories. * Innovate around new enterprise growth initiatives, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure seamless product development and launch. * Utilize consumer insights to guide product design and ensure alignment with market needs and preferences. * Manage end-to-end commercialization processes, from concept development to product launch. * Oversee both internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and consistency. * Demonstrate strong technical skills in food science and technology, applying them to solve complex product development challenges. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies. * Document and present project progress, results, and recommendations to senior management. * Ability to craft and present high-level project timelines for senior leadership and external partners. * Fan of food and the culture surrounding it (including intersections, such as music, fashion, sports, etc.) Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree. 8 years of experience in food product development. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree or MBA preferred. Experience in the soup, meals, snacks, and beverage categories. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards. Experience with project management tools and methodologies. Deep technical grounding in thermally processed foods, including but not limited to retort
