Amentum Project Security Coordinator in Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii

Amentum has an opportunity for a highly motivated Project Security Coordinator to provide overall coordination of classified and unclassified projects in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) J8 priorities. This position is located at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

In this position, you will support USINDOPACOM J8 by providing coordination and execution support for International Science & Technology (S&T) Engagement initiatives, to include Joint International Experimentation (JIE), and other innovation/S&T workshops and engagements. In addition, you will perform multiple program security functions to include Personnel Security, Information Security, Industrial Security, Information System Security, Communications Security and Physical Security for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with validating International S&T engagement policies, plans, and messaging to facilitate enhancing multilateral cooperation;

  • Assist with organizing and supporting various types of events including technology demonstrations, assessments, and joint international experimentation;

  • Assist in the processing of visitor security clearances, granting facility access, and ensuring person-to-person communication and coordination occurs under applicable guidelines and regulations;

  • Complete pre-screen SCI paperwork, and review SF-86s for initial and periodic reinvestigations for military, civilian, and contractor personnel assigned to the command;

  • Coordinate the processing of onboarding personnel;

  • Manage communications among stakeholders at multiple classification levels and via various mediums (i.e., SVTC, VOIP); and

  • Develop and disseminate S&T project schedules.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), or equivalent experience;

  • At least three (3) years of experience in a related field (security, management of classified programs, intelligence);

  • Must exhibit in-depth level of knowledge of DOD manuals, instructions, regulations, guidelines, and ICDs pertaining to national security programs (i.e., DoD 5105.21 V1-3, SECNAVINST 5510.30/36, ICD 704, and ICD 705);

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under only general direction;

  • Knowledge of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) standards;

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in order to provide information, training, and operational support to the Division;

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); and

  • Must have an active Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and at least six (6) years of experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), including at least four (4) years of experience in military operations;

  • Knowledge of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region;

  • Experience in operational and/or strategic levels of DoD planning and/or execution;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; and

  • Proficient at authoring analytical and/or policy documents.

The salary range for this position is $100K to $130K (salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
