Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Salary: $104,000 - $117,000

Work Location: Canandaigua, NY

Position Overview: The Arc Ontario seeks a financial leader to take the helm of a highly effective Finance Team providing support to a $24 million organization. This position serves as a member of the senior leadership team under the direction of the Executive Director. The CFO safeguards the organization's financial resources and provides strong leadership and development of all areas under the finance umbrella in accordance with the organization's values. Oversees day to day operations in the areas of finance, information systems and technology, social enterprise development and managed care operations. Promotes highest standards of professionalism and quality in accordance with all laws, regulatory requirements, agency practices and philosophy.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a member of the management team and supports the senior leadership team.

  • Oversees the preparation of monthly financial reports and annual financial closings.

  • Directs the preparation of consolidated fiscal reports and filings.

  • Works with Program Directors and Executive Director to prepare annual operating budgets for the organization. Ensures an accurate and timely completion of annual budgets for review by the organization's Board of Directors.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.

  • Over eight (8) years of progressive, exempt level finance or accounting experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment, with a minimum of four (4) years in a supervisory capacity.

  • Must have strong accounting and computer experience.

  • Requires frequent interaction and cooperation with all levels of the organization.
