Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Data Engineer in Candler, North Carolina. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust database systems, optimizing their performance, and ensuring data integrity and security. You will also be expected to develop ETL processes, design OLAP cubes for multidimensional data analysis, and create complex reports and dashboards that offer actionable insights to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust database systems

• Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, replication, and query optimization

• Ensure data integrity and security

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS packages to ingest data from various sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into data warehouses

• Design and build OLAP cubes for multidimensional data analysis

• Utilize SSRS and other tools to create and manage complex reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders

• Monitor and optimize the performance of data processing and storage systems, ensuring efficient data flow between databases, servers, and storage environments

• Work with Microsoft Dynamics AX2009 data schema and X++ coding

• Use your skills in SSIS ETL, SSIS Packages, PL/SQL Development, MS Dynamics AX, and Database Performance to deliver high-quality work. Requirements

• Proficiency in SSIS ETL and SSIS Packages is mandatory.

• Demonstrable experience with PL/SQL Development is required.

• Familiarity with MS Dynamics AX is a plus.

• A strong understanding of Database Performance is crucial.

• Candidates should have the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering is required.
