JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. * Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces * Performs complex system level troubleshooting to component level * Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions * Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be a US Citizen * Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire * An Associate"s degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience * Understands implications of work and provides applicable solutions * Distinct knowledge of specialized function and proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards and practices * Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success * Commitment to ongoing professional development * Superior communication and collaboration skills
